Tour Overview
Uganda's largest national park, Murchison Falls, is a world of dramatic contrasts: sweeping savannah, dense riverine forest, and the raw power of Africa's mightiest waterfall. The Victoria Nile—carrying the full outflow of Lake Victoria—forces itself through a seven-metre rock cleft with a roar that can be heard kilometres away. The park's North Bank is one of Africa's finest big game areas, where Rothschild's giraffes, elephant herds, lions, leopards, and buffalo share the plains with the rare shoebill stork and over 450 bird species. This four-day safari combines dawn game drives, a boat cruise to the base of the falls, a walk to the roaring summit, and an en-route rhino tracking experience at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala to Murchison Falls via Ziwa
Depart early and drive north toward Murchison Falls National Park. The route passes through the Luweero Triangle and into increasingly wild countryside. Stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a one-hour guided rhino tracking experience on foot—Uganda's only free-roaming white rhinos graze here in a carefully managed conservation programme. Continue to the park, cross the Nile at Paraa Ferry, and check in to your lodge in time for a sundowner. Your guide briefs you on the game drive plan for morning.
Day 2: North Bank Game Drives
An early wake-up call for the best light of the day. The North Bank savannah is home to remarkable concentrations of wildlife: herds of elephant moving through the golden grass, Rothschild's giraffes (found almost exclusively in Uganda), Cape buffalo, waterbuck, oribi, and—with luck—a lion pride on a morning hunt. Your guide knows the terrain intimately and positions the vehicle for the best sightings and photographs. A break at the lodge for lunch, then a late-afternoon game drive catches the animals at their most active as the day cools.
Day 3: Murchison Falls Boat Cruise & Summit Walk
After breakfast, board a park boat for the classic upstream cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks teem with hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and waterbirds. As you approach the falls, the roar grows until you are drenched in mist, craning your neck at an extraordinary curtain of white water plunging from the seven-metre cleft above. Disembark and follow the short trail to the summit for the definitive top-of-the-falls panorama. The afternoon offers a Nile Delta boat trip in search of the extraordinary shoebill stork—one of the world's most sought-after birding targets.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Return South
One final dawn game drive to catch the early light and maximise your wildlife sightings. After brunch, board the Paraa Ferry and begin the scenic drive south. Your guide will stop at viewpoints and points of interest along the way. Arrive back in Entebbe or Kampala by early evening, completing a safari that showcases Uganda's most dramatic landscapes and wildlife encounters.
