1. Booking and Confirmation
All booking inquiries made through our website are subject to availability. A booking is only considered "Confirmed" once a deposit has been received and a confirmation email has been sent by our team.
2. Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit (typically 30-50% of the total tour cost, plus the full cost of Gorilla/Chimpanzee permits) is required to secure your booking. Final payment must be paid at least 30 days before the tour start date.
Permits: Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits must be paid in full at the time of booking as they are purchased immediately from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA).
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations made 60+ days before start receive a full refund minus admin fees and permits. 30-59 days before start receive a 50% refund (excluding permits). Less than 30 days before start are non-refundable.
Permits: Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are 100% non-refundable as per UWA policy.
4. Travel Insurance
It is a mandatory requirement that all clients have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal accident, loss of baggage, and cancellation.
5. Health and Safety
Clients must ensure they have all required vaccinations (e.g., Yellow Fever). Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking involve physical exertion; clients must be in reasonable physical health.
6. Liability
Wahika Safaris Uganda acts as an agent for hotels and transport providers. We are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property during the tour.
